Timothy Spall is an English actor who became famous for his role as one of seven British construction workers  in the long running series, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet playing Barry Taylor, a bashful bumbling man from the West Midlands.

He was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Secrets and Lies.  He has since played many TV & film roles, including Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter and Winston Churchill in the King’s Speech.  In 2014 he won the best actor award at the Cannes Film Festival for his role as Mr Turner, portraying the life and career of the painter J.M.W.Turner.
