SUPERBIKES
Authentic Signed Superbikes Photos, Framed & Mounted Displays
Professional motorbike racing encompasses both Superbike Racing and Moto GP. The Superbike World Championships, originating in 1988, are annual motorsport road racing series for modified production motorcycles. There are a series of rounds in each World Championship, and the results determine two winners; one rider and one manufacturer. Moto GP uses purpose-built motorcycles and is seen as the motorcycle’s answer to Formula One. Moto GP (Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing) uses engines up to 1000CC and has a worldwide following.
Many racers have become legends within motorsports, and Carl Fogarty goes down in history as the most successful Superbike racer of all time going by the amount of Superbike World Championships won (1994, 1995, 1998, 1999), riding Ducati and Honda. Nine-time Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi is a global motorsports icon and is to date the only rider in the history of the World Championship to have won in four different classes; 125CC (1), 250CC (1), 500CC (1) and Moto GP (6). The late Nicky Hayden was active in both motorsports up until his tragic death in 2017, and won the Moto GP World Championship in 2006; competing for 13 years in total. The current British Superbike Champion, Leon Haslam, has followed in his father’s footsteps – Ron Haslam’s racing career spanned over thirty years and saw him winning three World titles and four British Championships, and competing in 107 GPs.
