Fronted by lead singer Roger Daltrey and with Pete Townshend on guitar and vocals, the band sold over 100 million records worldwide and achieved widespread acclaim with their rock-opera, Tommy.
Amongst other distinguished honours and accolades The Who were inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005, and received the British Phonographic Industry’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988.
