Ronny Rosenthal
Authentic Signed Ronny Rosenthal Photos, Framed & Mounted Displays
Ronny Rosenthal joined Liverpool in 1990 for a fee of £1.1million, becoming the first non-UK player to join an English club for a fee of over a million pounds. Prior to this move, he had been with Liverpool on loan, but Kenny Dalglish saw his potential when he scored seven goals in eight games, including a hat-trick against Charlton Athletic, helping Liverpool score their third league title in just five seasons, and his move was quickly made permanent.
In the 1990-91 season, Ronny Rosenthal helped Liverpool reach second in the league, scoring five goals in total. The following season saw him score three goals in total, and in the 1992-93 season, he was selected for 27 Premier League games, scoring six goals. He is particularly remembered that season for hitting the crossbar with a shot on an open goal in a league match against Aston Villa.
After leaving Liverpool, Ronny Rosenthal was signed for Tottenham, and was instrumental in the FA Cup tournament (1994-95); he scored five goals in total and secured Tottenham a place in the semi-final.
He was also regularly capped for his national team of Israel, and scored 11 goals for the international side before his career came to an end in 1997.
