In addition to this, he has raced in many Endurance events and came second in the 1979 Suzuka 8 Hours race in Japan. He has raced for Honda, Suzuki, Cagiva and Norton, the latter of which he was racing with in 1991 when he finished second in the British Superbike Championship.
