Paul Merton

Authentic Signed Paul Merton Photos, Framed & Mounted Displays

Have I Got News For You team captain Paul Merton is an all-rounder. He is best known for his surreal and sometimes dark comedy, and his career as a writer, television presenter, actor, comedian and radio star has gone from strength to strength since the eighties.

His first television appearance was in a one-off episode of The Young Ones (1984), but his breakthrough came in 1988 where he performed regularly on the popular Channel 4 show Whose Line Is It Anyway when it moved from TV to BBC Radio 4, where he stayed until 1993. He immediately joined Have I Got News For You, an extremely successful BBC panel comedy show, when it began in 1990, and he is still there to this day although he did have a break from the show between 1996 – 2002. From 1999 – 2007, he hosted Room 101, a chat show where guests discuss their pet hates and confine them to the oblivion of Room 101, and he started presenting travel documentaries in 2007. So far, he has presented Paul Merton in China (2007), Paul Merton in India (2007) and Paul Merton in China (2008). In 2011 he presented Paul Merton’s Adventures, a show in which he travels around the world on popular tourist trails but still manages to find some extraordinary things.

On top of this he has appeared in many Radio 4 series and shows, and he has regularly performed in the Edinburgh Comedy Festival every year since 2008.
