Miranda Richardson is an English stage, film and television actress. She made her film debut playing Ruth Ellis in Dance with a Stranger in 1985 and went on to receive Academy Award nominations for Damage and Tom & Viv. She began her career on stage and made her West End debut in the 1981 play Moving. On television, she starred in Blackadder, A Dance to the Music of Time, Merlin, The Lost Prince, Gideon's Daughter, and Rubicon (2010). Her other films include Empire of the Sun, The Crying Game, Sleepy Hollow, Chicken Run, The Hours, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Young Victoria, Made in Dagenham, Belle, and Stronger.
