Authentic Signed Jonathan Woodgate Photos, Framed & Mounted Displays
Retired defender Jonathan Woodgate fulfilled his childhood dream of playing for Leeds United at the age of 16, and quickly made his debut to the senior team, where he competed in the UEFA Cup and Champions League, and saw the team performing towards the top of the Premier League, making 104 appearances for Leeds in total and scoring 5 goals.
After playing for both Newcastle and Real Madrid, he was signed for Middlesbrough in 2006; originally a one year loan which extended to a four-year contract after his performance against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September saw him being named Man of the Match. He made 46 appearances for Middlesbrough in total before signing for Tottenham Hotspur in January 2008 for a fee of £8million.
Jonathan Woodgate scored his first goal for Spurs against Chelsea a month later in February in the League Cup Final, a move which saw Spurs win their first trophy since 1999. Following the appointment of Harry Redknapp in 2008, Jonathan Woodgate became the second vice-captain of Tottenham Hotspur. In total he made 49 appearances and scored 2 goals.
After a year at Stoke City, Jonathan Woodgate returned to Middlesbrough in 2012, and scored his first goal since returning in November of the same year, in a 4-1 victory against Charlton Athletic. In 2015, he scored the first goal in a 2-1 victory against Blackpool, sending Middlesbrough to the top of the Championship table.
