The writer and performer of the notorious Three Lions, Frank Skinner, has had a legendary career in comedy. In 1989, just two years from his first stand-up gig, he established himself as a full-time performer. In 1991, he won his first award, beating the likes of Jack Dee and Eddie Izzard to the 1991 Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

He has gone on to achieve great things; notably, the Three Lions song which became legendary in Euro 1996 and was rerecorded for the 1998 World Cup – the phrase ‘it’s coming home’ is now commonplace amongst football fans. He has performed stand-up at many prolific venues including London’s Apollo Theatre, Bloomsbury Theatre and Palladium Theatre, and in 2001 he won the British Comedy Award for British Comedy Entertainment Personality. Since 2009 he has been presenting The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio.
