Chris Tarrant is an English radio
and television broadcaster who presented ITV children’s Saturday morning show,
Tiswas. He then went on to join
Capital radio in 1984 on a Sunday lunchtime but later hosted Capital Breakfast,
a late-morning weekday slot, which became very popular with an increase in
audience figures. He left in 2007
having hosted the shows over 17 years.
Chris went on to present the popular quiz show Who Wants to be a Millionaire; the show was sold to over 100 other countries. In 2013 it was confirmed the show would come to an end after 15 years which coincided with Chris stepping down as host.Chris has since gone on to film the Extreme Railway series for Channel 5 covering the Congo Ocean Railway, the Ghan across Australia and the Konkan Railway.
