Ross Mullan is best known for his roles in Doctor Who and Game of Thrones. He played the primary White Walker in Game of Thrones in various episodes from 2012-14; in the show’s second through to fourth series. White Walkers are humanoid creatures, also referred to as ‘The Others’, and were some of the most visually iconic characters on the show. They were a consistent supernatural threat to humankind throughout the show’s eight-season running, and Ross Mullan was featured in three episodes of Game of Thrones overall.

He joined the cast of Doctor Who in 2013 in The Time of The Doctor, where he played a Silent. The Silence were recurring monsters on the show, and Ross Mullan went on to play further Doctor Who monsters, including The Teller in Time Heist, and a Wraith in Hell Bent.

Prior to this, Ross Mullan was the voice of the villianous Numbertaker in popular children’s cartoon Numberjacks, which spanned from 2006 to 2009. In the 2010 movie Clash of the Titans, he played Pemphredo, one of the blind Stygian witches. He is also an established puppeteer and voice-over artist, having trained with Jim Henson’s company.
