Max Verstappen has become a legend amongst Formula One fans. He went down in history for becoming the youngest driver ever to compete in Formula One which he was 17 at his debut at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix. He competes under the Dutch flag with Red Bull Racing. In his first eight races with Red Bull, he achieved six top-five finishes, including four podiums.  In the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, he replaced Dannii Kvyat, beating names such as Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Riccarido to win the race and become the youngest driver ever to win a Formula One Grand Prix, at the age of 18, succeeding previous champion Sebastian Vettel.

The 2017 season saw equal successes, and he won his second Grand Prix in Malaysia, after previously finishing third, fourth and fifth. His third win came in the same year, in the Mexican Grand Prix, after overtaking Sebastian Vettel on the opening lap, and staying in the lead for the whole race. He went from strength to strength in 2018, and despite starting 4th in the Austrian Grand Prix, he won the race and claimed his fourth win of his career. During the second half of the season, he achieved podium finishes four times; in Belgium, USA, Singapore and Japan, and ended the year with another Grand Prix win in Mexico. In August 2019, he became the first ever Dutch Formula One driver to take pole position, in the Hungarian Grand Prix, and he has two more wins under his belt for the 2019 season, bringing him to seven total wins altogether.

At the current age of 22, he holds seven other Formula One ‘Firsts’. He is the youngest driver to lead a lap during a Formula One Grand Prix, the youngest driver to set the fastest lap during a Formula One Grand Prix, the youngest driver to score points, the youngest driver to secure a podium, the youngest multiple Grand Prix winner, the youngest to win the same Grand Prix multiple times and the youngest to win the same Grand Prix in successive years.
