Kenny Dalglish is a retired footballer and former football manager, known for his management of Liverpool Football Club and Blackburn Rovers as well as numerous other clubs including Liverpool for a second time. He played for Celtic from 1969-1977, making 204 appearances and scoring a total of 112 goals. Moving on from Celtic brought Dalglish to Liverpool FC, a club in which he made 355 appearances and scored 118 goals in the years 1977-1990. He set two national records when he played 102 times for Scotland and scored 30 goals respectively. As a player and a manager, he won a copious amount of awards, including three European Cup finals, one of which, in 1978, he scored the winning goal for. After playing football, he went on to manage Liverpool Football Club from 1985-1991; the club won multiple awards under his management. Similarly, he managed Blackburn Rovers from 1991-1995 and led the team to victory in the Premier League.
