British actress Kate Phillips is best known for her role as Linda Shelby in Peaky Blinders, a role which she has played from 2016 – present, and she has been a cast member from series three onwards. Kate Phillips and the cast won a BAFTA for Best Drama Series in 2018 for Peaky Blinders.

She also played Henry VIII’s third wife Jane Seymour in Wolf Hall (2015), and consequently was named Star of Tomorrow by Screen Daily. Additionally, she played Lise Bolkonskaya in the 2016 adaptation of War and Peace, and starred as Venetia Scott in The Crown in the same year. The show won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Drama in 2017. More recently, Kate Phillips played Laura Boone in The Alienist, showing on Netflix from 2018. That year it was confirmed that she will be joining the cast of the forthcoming Downton Abbey film as Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood. This will be a continuation of the widely popular television series of the same name which will be released in September 2019.
