Kevin Doyle’s television career began in 1985, and he starred in many successful shows before joining the cast of Downton Abbey in 2016, playing footman Joseph Molesley. He won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in both 2015 and 2016, along with his fellow Downton cast members.

Kevin Doyle stayed with Downton Abbey until it’s end in 2015, and then he gripped audiences in the wildly popular Happy Valley as Detective Sergeant John Wadsworth – he was at the centre of one of the main storylines of Season Two, where he commits murder in order to prevent his wife finding out about his extra-marital affair. In 2016, he won the Royal Television Society Best Male Performance in a Single Drama or Drama Series award for his portrayal of the character.
