Considered one of the best rugby players of all time, Englishman Jonny Wilkinson reached the height of his career during the England National Team’s 2003 Rugby World Cup victory. His presence in this game was instrumental in the 25-14 win over Australia, a performance which pegged England as one of the favourites to win the World Cup in October. Wilkinson’s performance across the World Cup culminated in a victory over Australia, in which he scored the winning point with a drop goal in the very last minute of the final; it was the first time Australia had lost since 1995  He spent the duration of his professional rugby union playing career between two clubs, Newcastle Falcons and Toulon, before retiring from play in 2014.

Also playing for the England and British and Irish Lions National teams, he was selected as the 2003 International Rugby Board (IRB) International Player of the Year.
