Emer Kenny
Emer Kenny made her professional debut in 2007, with BBC drama Coming Down The Mountain, playing Gail, the girlfriend of the protagonist. In 2009 she played vicar’s daughter Rebecca in the film Lesbian Vampire Killers, alongside big names such as James Corden and Mathew Horne. She has since been seen in popular shows such as Pramface (2011) Beaver Falls (2012) and Badults (2013).
She is also a prolific scriptwriter, and her success in writing the Eastenders spin-off, Eastenders: E20, led to her gaining a regular slot in the cast of soap, as Zsa Zsa Carter in 2010, where she was nominated for TV Quick Award Best Soap Newcomer. She was selected as the youngest ever writer for the BBC Writer’s Academy, and her training led her to writing episodes of Eastenders.
In 2017, she joined the cast of BBC’s Father Brown, a period detective drama about a crime-solving Roman Catholic priest, where she plays wayward arisocrat Lady Penelope (Bunty) Windermere, the niece of Lady Felicia, who often joins Father Brown on investigations.
