Authentic Signed Colin Hendry Photos, Framed & Mounted Displays
Colin Hendry’s career as a defender has spanned many clubs, including Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers, Rangers, Coventry City, Blackburn and Bolton Wanderers. He began his career in his home country of Scotland with Dundee, but soon caught the eye of Blackburn Rovers’ manager and was transferred in 1987. He played over 100 games for them before moving to Manchester City, but soon moved back to Blackburn in 1991 after Kenny Dalglish bought him for £700,000. With Blackburn, he helped them promote out of the second division (1992), and helped the team win the Premier League (1995). In 1998, he was signed for Rangers by manager Dick Advocaat and moved back to Scotland, and won the domestic treble with them in his first season there.
Colin Hendry joined Scotland in 1993, and although he was a latecomer to the international scene at the age of 27, he managed 57 appearances for them in total. He was appointed captain of Scotland for the 1998 FIFA World Cup campaign and they got to the group stages. He went into management in 2004 with Blackpool, and subsequently managed Clyde before becoming a coach for Blackburn Rovers. He took his retirement in 2014.
