Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish music group originally made up of vocalists Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly and Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt. They were formed by former Riverdance musical director, David Downes. The group was originally meant to be a one-time only show, but their popularity and success saw them become a group in their own right. Their repertoire ranges from traditional Celtic tunes to modern music.

In 2005, their self-titled debut album reached No. 1 on Billboard’s World Music Chart within weeks, and broke Andrea Bocelli’s record of chart-topping longevity by staying there for 81 weeks. Since then, Celtic Woman have released 15 albums and performed 15 world tours since they began, and have been named Billboard’s No. 1 World Music Artist of the Year six times. They are currently the only all-female act to achieve multi-platinum success in the classical crossover and world music genres in the last decade.

The group’s line-up has changed throughout the years, and currently consists of Chloë Agnew, Máiréad Carlin, Megan Walsh and Tara McNeill. To date, Celtic Woman have sold over ten million albums and three million tickets worldwide and have recently released the album ’15 Years of Music and Magic,’ which will be accompanied by a tour in 2021.
