Welsh footballer Neville Southall began his professional playing career in 1980 with Bury. Moving on to play for several other teams throughout his twenty-two-year career, he is perhaps best remembered for his goalkeeping at Everton and the Wales National team.

Amongst other honours, Neville Southall has helped his teams claim 2 FA Cups, 1 European Cup Winners' Cup, and was the FWA Footballer of the Year in 1985.
