Michelle Dockery is an English actress and singer.  She enrolled in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was awarded a gold medal for drama at graduation. She was a member of the National Theatre and received nominations for best supporting actress, winning second prize at the Ian Charleson Awards for her part as Eliza Doolittle and was nominated best newcomer at the Evening Standards Awards in 2008.

Michelle is best known for her role as Lady Mary Crawley in ITV series Downton Abbey, playing the eldest daughter of Lord and Lady Grantham. Michelle received three Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for her role.

The series ran from 2010 until the final 6th series in 2015 receiving many awards and being viewed in over 200 countries. 

In 2016 Michelle began starring in the lead role of an American drama series, Good Behaviour, playing the part of Letty Dobesh, a con artist and thief and has also starred in the British drama, the Sense of an Ending.

Michelle also trained as a singer and sang at the 50th anniversary of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and has sung with Sadie and the Hotheads, a band formed by Elizabeth McGovern who played her mother in Downton Abbey.

She is currently playing the lead role of an alcoholic con artist in the U.S Drama series, Good Behaviour.
