Michel Roux Jr
Michel Roux JrMichel Roux Jr is a two star Michelin chef at the London restaurant Le Gavroche.
He began his career as an apprentice pastry chef in Paris and later as a commis chef in Le Gavroche under both his father and is uncle. He then moved to Lyons and spent two years as trainee chef de cuisine to Alain Chapel, a Michelin 3 star chef.
After serving his military career, he returned to London and learned accountancy before becoming a sous chef, he then moved to Chelsea as a commis chef and later worked in Hong Kong.
He joined his uncle in Berkshire before working with his father at Le Gavroche, after his father retired Michel then took over the world famous restaurant . He has written several books and is a food consultant to the Walbrook club.
Michel has starred and appeared in many television programmes and appeared as an expert judge on Masterchef, the Professionals. He also has presented the BBC series Food and Drink.
