J.K. Rowling’s magical world of Harry Potter began in 1997, with the introduction of Harry, Hermione, and Ron as they began their journey into the extraordinary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Almost a decade later, the legacy of Hogwarts still stands tall; having established a successful book and film series featuring esteemed actors such as Michael Gambon. For a generation of witches and wizards who grew up alongside the Golden Trio, Harry Potter remains a stepping stone of adolescence that adds just a little bit of magic into the lives of children and adults alike. Beginning with ‘Harry Potter and The Philospher’s Stone’, the book and film series spiralled into a worldwide phenomenon, culminating in the spectacular final act of the Battle of Hogwarts in ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows’. Continuing the magic into other means, J. K. Rowling has since published a play based upon the characters that have become our nation’s beloved fiction – ‘Harry Potter and The Cursed Child’ – an indication that, although Harry Potter and his two best friends have long since finished their time at Hogwarts, the mischief is far from managed.
