Yorkshireman Geoff Boycott began his storied cricket career in 1962 with Yorkshire. After spending fourteen years there, he moved on to Northern Transvaal before retiring from play in 1982. Also playing for the England National team, the right-handed batsman was the leading run-scorer in first-class cricket in 1986.
Amongst other honours, Geoff Boycott was awarded the title Wisden Cricketer of the Year (1965) and the Walter Lawrence Trophy in 1970.
